Found a pretty nice chev 2500HD 2 wheel drive truck to pull my car trailer, but it has 180K on it. The drivetrain doesn't worry me since my cousin works at a trans shop but what how long are the 6.0's lasting. Honeslty I can't see putting more than 5K on this truck a year so it may be worth it. What are some other issues that I should look for?

If it's been taken care of, probably another 50-100k before any major work needs to be done. The tranny will probably go before the motor does.

 

Has as much to do with what kind of miles as how many. Lots of interstate miles & long trips, not much wear.
City driving, cold starts, poor maintenance... not so good.

buy it and then if it takes a then just build a stroker out of it and pull your car to the track with it. then hit people up to race you for cash... the mustang driver will say hell no youll spank me! then all you have to do is counter with "i was talking about my 'hauler i thought your 'stang had more ***** than that" and your good to go
