how bad is this?

Well, its locked up due to no oil. I would take the pan back off to see if there is any broken parts. Remove your spark plugs and pour a little oil down each cylinder. Let it sit for a few hours and try turning over the motor with a ratchet on the crank pulley.

Well, your right back to pulling it out.
it may not need much, a good inspection of all bearings
To see if or what is damaged.
It is not like you ran it till it was making noise.
worst case, new crank or turn the one you have
and go with new bearings or oversized and a new set of piston rings
After honing the cylinders.
Best case is finding no damage to the crank, rods, or cam bearings.
Pop the pistons out for a light hone of the cylinders and ring inspection.
Put it all back together, prime it, and run it.

That was me, long story short, had a problem with fresh rebuilt shortblock. found out the crank timing gear was clocked wrong so the oil pump had to come off. i stuck a rag in the front of the pan to keep any bolts from falling and the rag got left in the pan when i reassembled it. cranked it up and ran for about 10 min then lost all pressure and after pulling the front of the motor back apart the rag was in 100's of pieces all up in the motor. The motor is getting torn down and everything cleaned and all the clearances checked.
