Nice! That’s really reassuring, my short block just shipped out today actually after 8 long weeks. Can’t wait for assembly!

I know you’re a 5 Speed... any guess on hp numbers via butt dyno?

It's worth the wait, the guys there are great and super helpful. It's just email / street tuned by Atomic so no dyno numbers but based on similar setups I researched, should be 380+ to the wheels. Still stock 10bolt/G80/3.42s so there's some butt dyno improvement to be had down the road lol.

From a stock 4.8 to this setup, it's night and day. I love how it pulls.

I took my time and asked a lot of people about Thompson Motorsports before pulling the trigger. Everything you said is true...they seem to have a good track record of satisfied customers. No other engine builder took down my VIN to make sure what they were selling would 100% fit my application. Maybe the other guys didn’t take me seriously, hah

Your truck is probably a blast to drive. I have dreams of a single cab (damn kids) like yours, 370 w/ a 5 or 6 Speed. Not sure why more people with light trucks dont go for that 3rd pedal!
I’ll be happy with 350whp on the butt dyno with this heavy pig. The 4l65 with the 2600 stall might help but the 14 bolt certainly won’t. Maybe a 3000 stall but time will tell..It’s more than I’ll need for a work truck!

Yeah I even ended up speaking with Kyle after I got my motor when I had one issue with pick up tube and windage tray clearance and he pointed me in the right direction.

I bought it specifically to 6 speed swap it at some point, but the 5 speed is holding up just fine so far. It's definitely very fun to drive and surprises a few people.
