My next plan of attack. I am open to opinions here
243 heads port and polish sent out locally and having LS6 springs installed.
new lifters, HD 7.4" pushrods, New timing chain and oil pump.
Cam= 222/224 .566/.568 112 lsa

I would run better valve springs.

get some long tubes and a higher stall speed converter.

What they said... And you can do better than that cam. Especially with that current intake and exhaust combo. The lsxrt really doesn't come alive until the upper rpm range... I'd spec a cam to take advantage of that.

No tuning issues with that intake currently?

 

Same here, longtubes and different springs, depends on the cam but i always do lunati dual springs in my setups. Stall may work for a dd but wouldnt hurt a little higher.
