There are a variety of top end mods that can help a LQ4. Have you got a budget in mind?

Not really.Just looking for ideas other than a mill job to get me at 10.0 CR.
Not a small fortune but i'd say somewhere around 800 or so.

Id just get a set of 243 castings with a valvejob and be done with it. That should put you around the desired compression if not a bit higher.... and they flow badass. That was an idea I had for a while.

Yes they are. I ran a search and got this https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...ghlight=317+cc. I couldnt find any flow numbers to compare. Here is the 317 castings info

Stock 6.0L Heads 79.4% 83.80%
Lift 0.1 0.15 0.2 0.25 0.3 0.35 0.4 0.45 0.5 0.55 575 0.6
Intake 65.9 103.9 141.8 177.1 203.4 224.9 242.9 252.5 247 250.9 251.1 251.9
Exhaust 57.1 92.10 116.1 139.4 157.8 165.80 175.8 184.80 200.4 200.1 202.1 203
Ratio 86.6 88.6 81.87 78.7 77.60 73.7 72.40 73.2 81.10 79.7 80.5 80.6
Ratio w/ Intake 87.3 89.1 83.6 81.9 81.6 78.90 78.1 79.50 88.3 86.6 87.4 87.5
The 243 castings have lightweight sodium filled valves but i really dont know exactly how much gain you will see with those light weight valves. You will see higher compression with a ~62 cc chamber though.

I think you can get a set milled for under 100 bucks.
