which heads for 4.8?

thats cool. i have the tool. i used it im just not sure it worked. it doesnt look like its in as far as the other plugs. but the snapon scanner shows its not misfiring..

If power has gotten worse, then i'd look to a fueling issue possibly. Might just need a new fuel filter. Fuel filters need to be changed every 40-60k miles. But back on the heads, the 4.8 is a real slacker until 4000 rpm then it hits the rev limiter at 5500. I truely feel the 4.8 should have a head with a smaller cc intake runner to help improve the lower end power. The low end, tooling around town power of my wife's 5.3 tahoe is much better than my 4.8 was. It was truely amazing at the difference and the tahoe weighs more than my truck.

i worked at my unkles transmission shop for a while and had access to alotta stuff to try and figure it out myself.. but im no mechanic, just used some commen sense on alotta my guesses

well i said earlier i changed the filter and pump. thats why i was thinking the sending unit

Could be the FPR? It's hard to say though without putting a gauge on it.

i took it to a shop and they looked at my truck.. said pressure tested fine too but i really dont know to believe them or not.. he gave it back to me and said it ran fine for him. cough bull$#!^ cough
