which heads for 4.8?
#22
If power has gotten worse, then i'd look to a fueling issue possibly. Might just need a new fuel filter. Fuel filters need to be changed every 40-60k miles. But back on the heads, the 4.8 is a real slacker until 4000 rpm then it hits the rev limiter at 5500. I truely feel the 4.8 should have a head with a smaller cc intake runner to help improve the lower end power. The low end, tooling around town power of my wife's 5.3 tahoe is much better than my 4.8 was. It was truely amazing at the difference and the tahoe weighs more than my truck.
