Default which heads for 4.8?

so i have a spark plug hole stripping out and i figure i need new heads anywayz.. what would be the best choice for a 4.8? i figure ill just end up putting the same heads back on it but i was curious about all the others that match up to this motor. i have all the basics.. intake, exhaust, tb converter, hypertech, granatelli maf sensor, now looking at some gears and a cam.

Pick up a used 5.3 for less $$$ than a set of heads L cost ya. Everybody in texas has a 6.0, so 5.3s have gotta be layin round everywhere.

4.8/5.3 casting-derivative heads are the only ones reccommended for the smaller bore of the 4.8....any other heads will have valves that are to large for the bore (causing bad valve shrouding)

get yours P&P'd.... they flow pretty damn good from the factory but with a little work, they can be made a lot better!!! mill them some and work on the runners, ports and chambers and you'll see some gains.
