#1
hello i have a 2002 seirra 1500 4x4 5.3l. i am curious how much power is stock form, i am considering doing a cam swap, headers cold air kit. but i am wondering what tuning has to be done with the hot cam. and with the hot cam kit can i use the 1.8 rockers. i have the lt4 hot cam in my 89 camaro and i like the power band and was concidering an upgrade on my truck. any information would help thank you.

im not too sure on this but i think the hot cam is quite difficult to tune
i wouldnt use the 1.8 rockers, just get a cam with the lift and duration you want IMO
id suggest a comp 212/218 hi-lift
im not even sure what the specs on the GM hot cam are

hope this helps.i was leaning towards the hot cam because i work at a gm dealership and my cost on parts is good.

The hotcam will pretty much suck in your truck. Just being straight with ya
There are alot better Cams out there that will make more hp and drive alot better.
Your truck right now is probly putting out 240rwhp in a 2nd gear pull from what I've seen.
