Cool Final Decisions for lq4

I have been looking to cam my truck and have narrowed down my cam choices to 2 cams:

BTR Truck Stage III Camshaft - Brian Tooley Racing

and

BTR Truck Stage IV Camshaft - Brian Tooley Racing

Im leaning more towards the stage 4.
I will be using the stock converter which I tested at a stop light and it seems to stall at 2600 with my 4l80e and 4.56 gears with 35's. Is that normal? It's been like that since I bought the truck. It now has 145k miles on it.

Also will these pushrods work?
COMP Cams Magnum Pushrods 7638-16 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

And I was going to run the ls6 springs as BTR says their cam is made to be able to use them.
Chevrolet Performance Valve Springs 12499224 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

Anything else I will need for the cam swap? I was going to reuse my stock lifters and rocker arms. The truck runs great, doesn't burn oil and no valvetrain noise.

Let me know what you guys think,
Thanks

Stage 4 looks good. Would work fine with the LS6 springs. If your lifters aren't making noise you should be fine. It'll be a tad more sluggish off the line but stage 4 has a relatively low LSA so it should pick up torque fairly quickly in the rev range. End of the day, don't overthink it. Just buy it, throw it in, and have fun.

Forgive me for butting in on the thread but these are two of the cams I'm down to for mine. Any opinions on them for the truck in my signature.
I already have a BNIB Yank TT3000 converter that will go in at the same time as a cam and a set of low mile LS7 lifters if it looks like I need them.

I've decided to wait a little on the cam. Just bought electric fans. In the future I'm planning on putting in the BTR stage 4 truck cam. If I'm going to do it and spend a lot I want to go with the bigger one

With the bigger cam, you are not going to like the stock converter. It stalls at 2600 now because of the torque it makes down low, when you put the cam in, it will move the rom range up, making less torque down low, resulting in less stall and way less umph till it gets moving. The tight LSA will sound badass and will make a lot of peak torque, but it will come on hard and then fall off rather quickly. Even in a 6.0, it'll take around a 3000 stall to really make the cam shine. The stock converter will probably drop to 17-1800 stall speed with that cam.

personally I think you wont be overly happy with the stock stall.
are you totally against running a stall?

look into a stall, makes the truck way more enjoyable and fun to drive. Best money I've spent so far on my truck.

Especially with big tires and the 4l80, off the line will suck with a big cam and no stall....

Also I'd grab Brian Tooley pushrods if you're already getting the cam there.
