It's not rocket science, you can swap out the engine your self. Just take your time and label things as you go, it makes it easier on the reinstall. I use sandwich baggies and label with a marker, such as, converter bolts, tranny to block bolts, power steering bolts, alternator bolts, etc. That way you don't have to look for them and remember what size, length, sae-metric, etc. I also write down things like where I removed ground wires so I don't forget to reconnect them. I usually do it alone but it's nice to have help removing the hood and droping the new engine.

The single biggest reasonj most people don't do it themselves is they don't have the time. If u do it urself, ull learn how easy it is and save urself all kinds of labor costs in the future. None of it is really rocket science, and often doesn't require any special tools.

I would think I would have to unbolt the engine and tranny and take it all out as one, which I have no clue about anything with the trany, I know way more about the engine then I do the tranny, so ima be a little stumped there

One tool I think you might need would be a fuel line dissconecting tool(not sure of the exact name). I think someone on here rigged something up to do it also...

You didn't mention any kind of transmission swap, right? Don't think you'll need to pull the transmission for anything.

Good luck!

I figure it will be pretty hard to unbolt the tranny from the engine while its in the truck, especially getting to the boltson the top of the tranny, thats why i think i may have to pull it all out at once
