Does anybody have a clue why?

Well, I checked all the lifters at first when I took off the heads and they were ok, it seemed. All of them have the clip on and I tried to push down with a pushrod too see if the inside springs were damaged but they're hard as hell. No bad wheels or anything.....I guess the lifters did hold strong against the impact.
Yesterday I put the LS2 timing chain along with the billet sprockets and fit perfect, installed the oil pump with the pickup tube and finally finished with the oil pan and timing cover.........I am just waiting on my heads to be ready so I can finish her all up.
