Question Performance on a SBRC 5.7...

Hi guys, Im new here, and was told this is the best GM forum on the web, and after some reading, I believe it. I have an older truck, a '97. Its a SBRC c1500 w/a 350. I am seriously going about finding some boost. I am trying to keep away from a turbo, and going for a Magna. My main question is, will a charger work well in conjunction with a 100wet-shot?? My motor is older, yes, but it has very low miles (26k), and am not too worried about running 100shot, as that seems pretty safe. I will also be adding headers, cut-outs, high flow cats, 180 stat, shift kit, alum heads, and a cam. I need some help with the cam part of it though. I have no clue what I should go with. I want the max power out of it, and a little lope. I am assuming there is a type that is better suited for superchargers, so I need major guidence there. I dont want to have huge 3in true duals, or a full-blown straight-pipe (except for the cuts of course) as that seems a little excessive. There is a thing as too much exhaust I believe, and I want to holld on to what little bit of fuel economy I'll have left after all this. Any suggestions on header/cat/cut-out/muffler combos will also be greatly appreciated. My final question is just how much hp can the stock 4l60e (M30) hold???? I am going to be adding some serious power here, and want to know how hard I am going to be pushing the tranny..... The Nitrous I plan on using is a 100wetshot universal fogger from NOS. I want to use a window switch from around 2800-5500. Any suggestions, tips, pointers, etc are GREATLY appreciated. I am somewhat new to this, but I have read alot, and asked around on a few other mb's, and still dont have much for answers. I know its a lot of ?'s, but I really need to know. thanks in advance.

I dont know much about Boost and Nitrous... but

Im going to go safely with my guess and say I wouldnt shoot a 100 shot with a supercharger.... Im not sure that a stock bottom end could hold that....

I could definently be wrong.... I would go Magna and a 35 shot or 50 shot

Good luck... Welcome to the site

You say you want a little lope. Usually blowers ( I'm no expert) don't like lope. Allows boost to escape through the exhaust during the "lope".

I think maybe 35-75 is more like it. A stock bottom with 100... I dont know, if anyone else can verify any of this, it would be great. Also, if lope lets boost escape, what kind of cam will give performance+holp as much boost in as possible?? Thanks

I think you would be fine with a 100 shot on a n/a motor but with a charger or turbo you could probably tone it down some.Nitrous seems to make more than what you spray on a F.I motor.

Something with a 114 or higher lsa. Better idle quality and not much boost robbing lope.
