Default dod cam

hi guys

DID anyone tried a DOD CAM, I HAVE 2007 envoy denali 5.3L , i had HOB kit installed ,
now 455 whp , the engine is stock i would like to put a cam in it , also i dont want to loose the DOD , beside the hard work in convertion , so i need DOD cam , some said would,nt give anything ,

i hope some one tried the cam on dod LH6

there is a company making DOD cams...lemme find my mag real quick

my bad...its a company called MAST that has VVT cams

i know the companys sell these cams ,

i,m asking if anyone tried these cams, any sign of gain in hp an tq

thanks for the post , but all 3 threads talking about VVT L92 with cam phaser , and thats not applied to my LH6 , i have DOD ,,, i hope some tried the DOD cam , they claim 35 HP of gain , a guy from east cost said pull shift !!

What is HOB.? And you say you got 455 whp from it.? Do you have that now with the 5.3.?

HOB= house of boost procharger P1-SC1 kit for V8 envoys and trailblazer,s
and yes i have it now with 5.3L ,the engine is stock this why i need a cam to get more power....

I think that you're confusing DOD with VVT.

DOD - Is in the PCM (tuning). It can be enabled or disabled

VVT is a different cam shaft with groves in the bearing races of the cam. There's also a cam phaser infront of the cam.

this is what i said , i have DOD not VVT , pcm shut off the 4 cylinder,s fuel ,spark and the valves , vvt pcm control the cam by phaser , icant remmber how many degrees maybe from 20 to 70 deg resulting in good MPGs
