Anyone with experience have this issue while removing the pistons from the rod?
Sent my stuff to the machine shop and they cracked two of my pistons while removing them from the rods. They tried saying it happens all the time while dealing with stock stuff...... I say BS. I've had this done multiple times and haven't had an issue until I use a different machine shop due to relocation. Any thoughts? And they said I need to pay for the new piston....

Name of the shop is QMP performance, chatsworth California.

Sounds to me like they tried to press them apart without heating up the rod. Good way to sell you new pistons....

Good way to get me to pick my stuff up and move on! I can crack my own rods without spending money lol

Whether it happens all the time or not, they should be buying you new pistons, thats crappy service. If possible get them to buy new ones and find another shop, speaking with the owner should speed things up.

Ive had it happen several times, but I took the rods in to have new pistons installed anyways so I didnt care.

i have had that happen alot too, and if you try heating the rod to expand your going to make the pin heat up too. what kind of pistons do you need?
