looking for feedback and others who have more experience with 5.3's my truck is a 08 gmc 4x4 ext cab 5.3 i wanna cam it but cant decide between these two

comp cams xr259 112 lsa 206/212 dur 515/522 lift

You would be better off with an ls6 cam. By far cheaper. With those 2 cams I don't think you'd feel much gain at all..

both of these cams are better running cams then an ls6 cam the lift on the ls6 cam i would have to get it tuned wich is not an option other than using canned tuned from a programmer like a bully dog gt or edge cts

im still trying to see if its posible to run a 212/218 low lift cam on stock tune/exh/tq
if anyone is running it like i want to plz let me know

im trying to achieve stealth performance where u dont hear anything even exhaust until my foot is on the floor i live in an area where theft is high and i dont want any attention drawn to my truck

for what im after the xf259 will work and is more towards what im leaning for but am looking for second options

If you're not going to tune for it, then why even bother??

A custom tune on a 100% stock engine will outperform a stock engine with a small cam and no tuning. Please don't undervalue a custom tune.

I would say go atleast a 212/218 ... personally i feel like a ls6 is more of a top end cam.. and a 212/218 makes power across the whole power band and you dont even need a TQ converter... And yes a tune will wake it up nicely...

I think a 212/218 low lift LSA115 would be a great cam for you.
As for a tune you need to talk to one of the half dozen tuners on this site. You can run a mail order tune no problem with great results in such a mild build.
