Default Camaro build

2004 lq4I have a stock 2004 lq4, I have a texas speed 231-234-108 cam and a set of 243 heads milled . 20. My question is should i leave the mill at 20 are go 30? 2. Will flattop pistons clear the valves with either head mill? Are should i stay stock dish pistons. Will be running stock mls head gaskets. Just wanted advice . Any help appreciated. Oh gonna be running a standalone nitrous express crossbar and Gary Williams carb. With springs and pushrods for cam.

There are plenty of members that can give good advice on here. But since this is going into a Camaro, you'll get a wider breadth of information posting on this site: https://ls1tech.com/

Be sure to include what year (so people can get an idea of your setup), trans, stall (if auto), rear gear ratio, and octane.

It's got a solid rear-end, probably body on frame and isn't *that* lightweight

it's basically an aerodynamic, yet less practical truck 😂

PTV clearance depends more on cam events. I had a LS2 with a 237/242 110+4 lsa and had to cut .090 off the intake side to get .072 PTV clearance. I was running aftermarket heads on a different valve angle and larger valves on that combo so your results wont be the same. I say 1: cut the heads to the compression you want 2:put the engine together 3: measure the PTV and go from there. if you need more PTV clearance give lindy tools a call and rent one of their in head flycutting tools.
