I paid less for mine. Found a seller on ebay who must have been clearing out their inventory. $39.95 shipped. Can't beat that...

Thunderstruck.....do you think this cam would work well in a Z71 with oversized tires also? I am only really looking for more low end torque.

For sure. While the upper gains are nice for passing it's that little off idle bump that I was most surprised with. The truck is definitely stronger down low but unlike the stock cam it just keeps pulling up top too. That said, I haven't ever researched what is out there for 4x4 use and there could be a cam made more specifically for more severe low ends gains, but if not this would certainly be a good choice.

Not sure when I will have the extra time/money for the headers. I'm soon going to have to pull the heads on my car and rebuild the rear diff in it as well. Not looking to mess with the truck until the car is back sorted out.

I've read a lot today and seems either this cam or the comp 212/218 low lift would be great choices. I don't want a stall either. I have my eye on the Doug Thorley tri-y headers also but they are pricey. Not sure if the benefits are there to justify the cost over the Speed Engineering headers.

All longtubes are going to give you roughly the same amount of power, so I don't see the justification of buying top of the line headers unless its a show truck or something.

I run pacesetter ceramic coated longtubes, got them for $380 and they still almost look brand new after 50K miles.

Thanks for the tip. I'm all about budget friendly parts.

Been a full year now and this thing is still doing work. Still daily driving on a longer work commute with no issues and no noise. IIRC the truck is about to cross the 190k mile mark.
