Great gains Bryan. It is always good to see solid gains when doing mods. Now get to the track and hit that 11!!!

out of curiousity...what were you expecting? I was hoping to see 400's outta ya. Hell of gains nevertheless. Is 12* all that they could get before kr or is that what everyone just felt comfortable with?

The thing of it is the #s seem low I dont know if its the dyno or what but track times are real. 12* is what he recommended I run.

I ran 18 without the meth. 21 with it. Almost exact same set up.

i am not dyno smart...the mustang dyno...less ratings than others right?

j what's your dyno rating on? dynajet?

nevertheless, 18* versus 12* is a BIG BIG power difference. There's alot of power on the table and if kr is in the way then it needs to be dealt with another way instead of just lowering the timing IMO. A 2.9 pulley may cause quick heat, but no reason to start out at 12*. I am no professional tuner by any means, but seems ridiculously low. I say 11's are not coming his way with 12*'s of spark.

btw, i have stock radix setup (70mm) with a 2.8 pulley and run what j's runs with spark. 18* and if I used the meth (not currently) I can get 21* out of it. I can even start the 1320 at 18* and end at 18* in these current days. Okay okay, maybe end at 16* sometimes. Obviously not during July.

I was running around 17-18* also with no meth on my 6.0 with a 2.8" pulley. You should definitely be able to get more timing than 12*.

Solid gain Breeze, I honestly was expecting a little more but a solid gain nonetheless. And yes, a Mustang dyno traditionally reads #s lower than most other dynos.

Hey guys - Bryan's tuner here. I was takin it easy on the timing cause I didn't realize it was a lower compression engine (I'm used to dealing with the cars and 10.25:1 and up). We tried some more timing on one pull and the power fell off - probably do to heat-up from multiple pulls. Never saw any KR at all though. Now that I know the compression ratio, we are gonna strap it back down tonight - I'm sure there is more in there. Sorry Bryan, guess I shoulda asked about the CR instead of assuming. We'll see what else we can get tonight.
