i think you can get VVT cams. don't know what all needs to get changed on VVT. you should have VVT and not DOD. i thought there was a thread already about that. have you tried doing a search?

they make a Phaser kit for the VVT but i say go without the VVT bc i dont trust the spring to determine what my cam advancement is.

i deleted my VVT and ran a 3 bolt cam.

VVT is a pretty cool setup, it allows for good low rpm torque and good upper rpm power. It in effect is like having 2 cams in 1.
There seems to be quite the negativity towards VVT. Its good to see that Comp is doing the VVT cams.

PCM tuning the VVT would be quite a bit more com, plicated as tuning for all the different cam phasing events would need to be done for a PROPE PCM tune.

So long as the trend for more power from similar or smaller displacements continues, the OEMs will be forced to use technologies like this. this is esp. important in truck as they are used to tow. Customers who do tow need low rpm torque for towing, but GM needs the big power number to be competitive and sell trucks. VVT is just like the VTEC systems that Honda uses.

I look forward to the GENV smallblocks.

Id have to agree, but I only know of one tuner who even knows how to proprely tune a VVT setup and he needs the vehicle in person and he is in Texas.
