whats up everyone? like the title says build times comin up real soon. ive got a 4.8 with bolt ons, pretty healthy cam, loose converter built trans and is geared pretty aggressive.

soon ill be ordering tsp stg2.5 5.3 cylinder heads that will be getting milled .30, planning on running a cometic .41 HG, arp head bolts, yella terra 1.8 rockers, as well as some other goodies. but my biggest question is will the tbss intake manifold be suficient enough? i just sold mine but have the opportunity to buy one cheap and keep some cash in hand. reguardless of the price ive really been looking into the fast 102mm but i dont know if its too much for the 4.8?

if anyone has any advice itd be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

Tbss intake will do if u want more get it ported

 

Yea I probably wouldn't go with the FAST on a 4.8L. I agree with the TBSS

 

really think with the heads/cam setup the fast 102 wouldnt be more beneficial rather than the ported tbss?

IMO, not unless you go with some sort of boost later down the road.

 

damn well ill go grab the other tbss for the 50 bones i could get it for lol, what about ported tbss?

 

imho i think a tbss/nnbs intake is plenty enough for a built 4.8 and not worth the cost. i also dont think the 1.8 yella terras would make a significant difference to be worth the cost. that is several hundred dollars for which youd be lucky if you saw more than a slight hp/tq increase and would be better spent elsewhere.

for the cost the hp/price ratio isnt there but id really like to get rid of these stock rocker arms for something thatll free up a little more and that actully is a true full roller. and after the heads/possible bigger cam im gonna be doing all i can to get the most out of it. no offense jonathan im not usin a bottle lol, its gonna be all motor and if i cant hit the times i want...may result in going b00sted lol
