Default Best oil filter for Gen 3 engines?

What oil filters are you guys running?

My truck with 5/30 oil and Melling 10295 high pressure pump makes 80 PSI at cruise when the engine is cold and 55-60 when hot. I cut my oil filter open and the media showed signs of trying to lay over and collapse. It was a Purolator regular oil filter. Is there a larger filter that is good with the high pressure pumps?

I run the tall carquest filters that are made by wix, I always read that wix is pretty much the best out there

I ran the napa brand wix filters, either the short 1042 or the I think it's a 1522 long filter work. Go for the gold filter and it'll last 3-5k miles easy without being an issue.

Now I run the 27060 in my newer trucks and both don't have engine mods though.

Default Wix filters

Wix 51522 like the guys above and or Pure one. I just recently read that Wix who makes a few store brands will not be making them as they do their main name brand. I did not follow up on this nor called Wix to find out whats going on but for those who use the store brands thinking they are getting the good Wix filters at a savings might want to look into this. For the little bit of extra funds it takes to buy the real thing is just an added peace of mind and cheap insurance. My 2 cents. Cheers!
