The bigger the cam the more converter and gears you need.

My old setup went 8.0 with a 1.76 60' (full weight with 28" DRs)

6.2/4L60e, PI3600, 4:10s

If it is an LQ9 block it has flat top pistons

An LQ4 has dished piston I believe -6.7cc

With the L92 heads stock gaskets and flat top pistons you looking around
10.2 to 10.3 compression

With LQ4 pistons around 9.57

It's difficult to say which cam is the best. If you want an all out dragster go big "around the one mentioned above" with a big stall

If you drive it around town and track I would say around a 224-228 intake duration with a 228-232 exhaust duration, but there much more to cams than just duration....LSA, ramp rate, lifts.

It is better to go a lil small with the cam than two large.

More info please. Stall size or future stall size, rear end ratio

The L92 heads flow pretty nice so I would recommend not spending money on cnc job and put the towards stall and gear.

A stock cam with 4.10s and 3500+ stall would scream down the track vs. ported heads with a cam on a stock stall and low 3.42s for example

8-12 degree split for stock heads; 4-8 degree split if heads are exhaust ported or cncd;

as for duration, got to factor in truck weight, compression ratio, intended stall and gears, and of course intended goal.

i run a 228-232 with exhaust ported only heads on a daily driven truck and like it but may move up due to truck duty reduction to weekend toy only

Check out the vengeance racing stage 2 ls3 cam, that would be a pretty good cam for that engine. Believe it's a 227-235 with just over 600 lift, might try and get it in a 112 lsa +4. These l92 heads have a vary large intake valve so they tend to bleed off a lot of cylinder pressure when the valves cracks open being the reason most want a smaller intake dur, unless your willing to run a 4500-5000 stall converter.
