Default Anybody got the "Trucker" cam?

Wondering if anybody with a Radix has installed a Trucker cam from Vinci. How is the idle and did you feel a difference in low end TQ?

I think he's still sorting out the rocker install. Everyone I've seen with those adjustable rockers says they are a pain to adjust properly.

I talked to roger at vinci today and he thinks its just the blower clutch making all that racket. Which would make sense because it sounds like gears knocking together and the idler pulley sort of goes crazy when it happens. The change in vacuum caused by the new cam would cause this. The tune allen is sending me will raise the idle enough to eliminate the problem.

So I'm pretty sure the rockers are good to go...and I'll report back on the trucker cam once I get the new tune in.

Yes, do report back. I am really interested in the difference it makes.

I put the "trucker" cam in about 2 month ago and like the idle and the way my tach would go from 3k to 6k it just whipped across...Last weekend I installed the Radix and so far I love my set up...I also installed SW LT's and ory...it is loud but the idle is great...I do have a problem sometimes at times (like manuvering around a parking lot) it wants to "die"...but usually catches itself...it is a little trouble some...Brian thinks it is a vacuum leak, but, I have not had a chance to chase it down.
other than the idle thing, it is great.

Default Questions....

Is the idle real choppy or barely noticable?
Did Brian say if a strong lope would damage the Radix rotors?
Can you get a sound clip?
Did you replace springs or anything else when installing the cam?
Did you feel the difference when you installed the cam?
You're the first person on this forum to have the Trucker cam and a few of us are real curious about it.
Thanks,
Chris
