dude...do the rods and rockers while you are in there...and I think I remember Vinci telling my that you had to do the valve seats at the same time...not sure why tho.

yeh cam came with the retainers and seats included free...im using the stock rockers

 

where did you get it...from Vinci?

 

just in case, some year model stock seats have the valve seal attached, so you need new seals for the new seats,

part no. 12457652 and 12533586 - black is intake, brown exhaust, they come in sets of 8

yes i got it from vinci.. i was actually lookin for a cam to go with the radix i read 03gmc post few weeks ago and i think its the right choice i hope ...

03gmc thanks i didnt know about the valve seals .. how do you like the cam so far did you loose any lowend torque also do you feel its a good daily driver cam where do you feel it made the most power

sure will but this cam is going into an lq4 that i just got so im not sure if its going to sound the same as a 5.3

 

for everyone with problems driving in a parking lot turn up base idle air flow it will cause a cruise control effect but it will get rid of all the dieing problems when turning and using the brakes at low speeds. The cruise effect can be countered with other tables.

Damon, 2002 and up require different valve seals, and the retainers and spring seats came with the spring package that black5.3 received. 02-up have a one piece valve seal/spring seat while the earlier models had seperate seats and seals.
