6 liter swap?
I am getting ready to do a 6 liter swap in my truck and I wanted to know what odds and ends I need. I am putting my z06 cam and springs in as well so that adds a few things. Here is what I can think. Let me know if I am missing anything.
crank bolt
manifold to collector gaskets
waterpump gaskets
front cover gasket
front main seal - just to be on the safe side
fluids and oil filter

Go to your GM dealer and get a gasket kit part number 12499228. This will come with a crank bolt, intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, front cover gasket, crank seal, and water pump gaskets. It is known as their cam change gasket kit. From there I'd get 2 gallons of Dexcool, 2 bottles of Water Wetter, 7 quarts of oil, 1 bottle of GM EOS for installing the camshaft, and some trans fluid in case you take out the converter.
