Default 6.2 to next level

Well got my truck back from GPI having Stage 1 high lift cam, DFM delete, ported heads, btr springs, che trunion kit and headers. It made 444 whp and 433 tq. Got my magnuson and drop in pistons and rods for the next stage (did it backwards). My question is, should I go up to the stage 2 cam and add a converter? I do tow my bass boat and a small trailer from time to time. I want to keep it street friendly, but on the nasty side. Thanks in advance.

Down the Wookiee hole…

Id go with a bigger cam and a 2800 stall or so, that way you can still tow just need a bigger trans cooler.

The trans builder I’m using now says I can tow with the new 3200 stall Circle D converter. I was shocked. We will see, he starts the build next week.

how much more ho/torque from the bigger cam versus how much it costs would be my biggest concern. since you are doing a Maggie I’d look more at the benefit of a Maggie cam

I did the pds stage 3. It isn’t that rowdy comparatively, lol. It is still undeniable that it’s got a big cam it’s just a tad less violent bc the pds cam doesn’t have overlap like the others for the chop.
