Default 6.0 problem flexplate wont turn

Getting ready to finish my buddies 6.0 swap and cam install. When trying to turn the motor over for the converter bolts. the motor isn't turning ive tried it from the crank bolt and it wont turn it was turning fine when aligning the dot on the timing chain.

Im using the flexplate from the 5.3 60e so that should be good.

The 6.0 came from his 03 2500 chevy truck, so the motor was working fine. Anybody know what could have gone wrong?

i just had this problem....is there plenty of space between the converter and the felxplate? on mine they were wedged together. mine was a result of the converter not being all the way on. prob not the case if you didnt mess with the converter.

Did you take the spark plugs out? Does it not turn in any direction?

I think that the flexplate, converter are binding up when your turning it, to get to the next bolt. Try to tighten them just a lil bit at at time.. Do one a lil bit, then go to the next. It takes a lil longer, but that could be the prob..

If the trans is out....

Are you sure you got the cam lined up right? Rockers tightened down correctly? Pushrods seated into the rocker cups correctly? Sounds like you might have a valve that's hanging open contacting a piston or something like that.
