So the truck intake should be good enough then? Would I benefit from the LS2 or LS6 intake at all? Is the intake in the LS2 powered SSR different and will it work in our trucks? Also, what is a 90/90?

Like was just posted - Parish made huge numbers with the stock intake. You'll be fine.

I came across an intake from a SSR that just installed the new KB supercharger. Will that work/bolt on to my truck? Will it help make an extra power over the stock intake?

In case it is asked the KB on the SSR was a one-off deal....

Just curious - why so set on a new intake if the stock ones can handle such high numbers?

I am not set on a new intake in fact I am 95% sure I will use my existing one. I was just currius if the others were any better in my application. I got the SSR intake for free too so you can't beat that deal. I will save it for another build or something.

I would get the setup dialed in with your stock ttb and when you've got nothing else to do then swap to the SSR 90mm intake and ttb. The 90mm intake will have a greater power impact on NA applications.

I saw your truck run at Fontana today. I couldn't make the rounds in the pit area, but I did watch your truck make a couple of passes. Way to go!!!

Richard, I was able to make 17-18 runs with no problems. I just wanted to get a baseline before the modifying begins, lol. I should have the 408 by next week along with some CNC 6.0 heads that I am pretty sure are coming from you. After I break in the engine I will install the STS that has been in the garage for about 2 years.

What were you guys running? Not to many trucks there like there were at FFW. I was hanging out with some Viper truck guys that made 10 and 12 sec runs respectfully.

For a boosted application i would stick with the stock intake. Its not worth the little power you could gain from something else. If you were N/A or on nitrous on the other hand the intake is much more important.

I was at the very west end of the pits with a couple of black El Caminos. One ran mid 11's on the motor and the other one went low 10's with a screwed up plate system. It was only working intermittently. Normally he runs mid to high 9's @4300lbs

A couple of other cars were there that are cutomers and neighbors of mine. All in all it was a really great day for hot lapping down a drag strip.

Nice to see your taking the mods in steps. I'm looking forward to seeing your new ET's.

Richard
