Default 6.0 Build Up

im getting a 6.0.. i dont know if its a lq4 or lq9, but i want to go with forged rods and pistons..im going with 241 ls1 heads, and a 230/226 .597/.565 113lsa cam, 918 springs..can some one tell me what size pistons and rod i need to go with..

For stock displacement, you want 4.000" piston diameter. I've forgotten the stock rod length atm, but 6.098" seems right. I'll see what I can find out.

so i need 4.00" bore pistons and 6.098' rods?? correct??

yup. Seriously though man dont bother with forged rods pick up a set of LS2/LQ9 rods and throw in some ARP rod bolts and be damn near as good for way less than half the price of forged rods. Have you seen how bulky the LQ9 rods are? Mjhoward had them in his truck with a decent amount of boost and him beating the crap out of them.

were can i find these rods?? all the ones i find are 6.125" if im going to go with 241 heads what -cc pistons should i go with???

You cant blame me if you kill another rod its just what I plan on doing myself once I get rid of a 418 down the road and build a "civil" motor for it.
