5.3L with 4.8L pistons Compression??

Default 5.3L with 4.8L pistons Compression??

Can't seem to find this info anywhere wondering if i put 4.8L flat top pistons on a stock 5.3L with stock 706 heads what would my compression be at?

I think it will be around 10.5:1 somewhere in there. It will make a difference. I think mine I have ported 706 heads milled .20 and its snappy but will be doing flat top 4.8 pistons on the extra block I got.

10.3:1ish on unmilled 706 heads

Yea 10.3 to 10.4 range is what I'm getting with stock 0.051 gaskets and unmilled heads.

10.7 with 0.04 gaskets with unmilled heads

I use this
Engine Size and Compression Calculator

Roughly every 0.007 milled = 1cc removed so 0.028 milled would remove 4cc

706 heads are 61.15 cc
bore is 3.77 for 323ci and 3.78 for nbs 325ci
stroke is 3.62

Have another question the factory 5.3L dish piston done size (cc)?

I don't know the exact dish, but its around -7cc

4.8 flat tops are 0cc b/c they are flat lol

The dish is -8cc as Agearhead4life physically measured them.

Pistons on an LS engine are usually out of the hole around +.005 or so. Every block is different so its important to measure.
