where does someone go by finding one of these fast intake manifolds? and from what i heard the LS6 manifold doesnt exactly bolt right on the our trucks it takes some work... not sure about the fast, also peak HP more depends on the cam and it aggression and the cams power-band rather that the intake manifold even though it does have some effect, like a 3000-6800 rpm cam wouldnt make its peak power at 5900 but say a 2200-6100 probably would regardless of intake, the truck intake would probably just make peak power somewhat less that potential

The FAST intake or any other car based intake requires the same amount of work to fit onto a truck as a LS6 manifold. It's not easy or cheap, as seen by the few that have done the swap.

The truck intake seems to become a restriction to upper rpm power when you are getting over ~320 - 330 hp and the upper 5K and into 6K rpm range. It just doesn't have the plenum volume to feed the engine the air it needs at those performance levels.

That being said, I would put a car intake manifold swap last on the N/A mod list.

so even though it fails top allow for the most potential power, being the cost and labor you would still put it last on the mod list? how much worse wil your power be if you have a cam spinning to 6300 or 6500 rpm on a trucks manifold vs the same in a car manifold? do you think it would make big HP differences?

if you have a good cam with a good tune, the hp should stay flat to 6500 and fall slightly to get there with the truck intake.
