Default 5.3 gen3 gen4 differences?

Ok so heres the deal. I have a 2004 gen3 5.3 engine that cracked a ring land and scored up the cylinder wall. I was planning on using it for a swap project for my 53 chevy 5 window. A couple of week ago I found a 2010 gen4 bare block with pistons and rods for 150 bucks on craigslist and bought it.(cheaper than boring out my current block and buying new pistons)

My question is... Will all my parts from my current gen3 engine fit on the gen4? ie crankshaft, cam, lifters/trays, oil pump, timing set, windage tray... you get the picture.

I have read i will need a new valley pan and knock sensors.. what else?

timing cover with sensor also timing gear and ls2 style cam because they dont have the cam sensor pick up in the back of the block no more its in the timing chain cover.

Which computer are you planning on using? The gen4 has a 52x reluctor wheel, the gen3 has a 24x. Other than that the only real differences are sensor position for the knock and cam sensors. And the gen4's have flat top pistons with LS6 style heads (243/799)

You can use your old crank shaft in the newer engine.
