Default 5.3 To 5.7 With 317

Well I seareched and was not able to find anything.

I know plenty on here have built a 5.7 out of a 5.3

Have you had any issues or did you have to rebalance the crankshaft?

Main question is : has anybody ran 317 6.0 heads?
Would it be a good idea to run these heads?
What compresion ratio would it be using stock 317 heads and stock 5.7 pistons?

The rods and pistons will be forged.
This engine will be FI.
I would like to have 9.0 compresion.

You're going to end up with something around 9.7:1 cr with flat tops and 317 heads. The 317's will work nicely on a 5.7l. Our Stage 2 CNC program will get the compression ratio down to approx. 9.2:1.

You'll also want to rebalance the crank assembly when you do the swap.

Good luck on your modding project.

If you use Diamond -8.6 cc pistons and 317 heads your c.r. will be 8.8-1.
