I clipped the sending unit onto the side of the fuel bucket upside down so when it should be reading full it was reading empty and vice versa. Within about 10 minutes I figured out what was going on

fuel line, fluids, front driveshaft, bolts in bed, headers/y-pipe and put the hood back on
