Default 4.Great cam?

I've read till I'm blue in the face and still have MORE research to do. 4.8 2012 crew cab 2wd....headers and 3:90 gears(4:10 should be minimum). Daily Driver. Need more 'ump' till I do a 6.0. 4.8 does have 243 heads
Cam recommendations with killing the tiny bottom end I have now.....

Stick with a 212/218 or slightly smaller, that will work great with the engine you have and won't need a higher stall converter. Get good valve springs and you'll be able to spin that little motor to 6,200-6,400rpm easy.

Thank you, springs will be installed at the same time too. I:ll run the 'high lift', version of whatever cam.

If you want to get more more power without losing more bottom end with a small displacement, get the latest version of the BTR Truck Torque Cam p/n30202111R1 (202/202 111+1). Even in a 4.8L you shouldn't feel any bottom end loss, but it'll carry up to 6k. Will work great with long tube headers.
