has anybody done it i have searched and couldnt get a straight answer

They will work fine and it will up your comp ratio a little bit.

11.18:1 SCR
and around a 8.69:1 DCR (depending on the cam you choose)

im just puttin a 01zo6 cam with some 1.85 rockers or maybe 1.75s if that guy trades me

remember though that the 4.8 has a different stroke, and different rod length than the 5.3. that means the pin is in a different location. the flat top isnt the only difference.

pin height is the same, rod length makes up the difference in stroke.
