Default 232/236 595/601 in a 5.3L

This cam is on the way, its a little bigger than I'd like, but the price was right.

232/236 595/601 on a 114+4 LSA

Its going into a 5.3L swapped into a 87 camaro. The heads have been mildly hand ported, other than that the 5.3L is 95% truck stock (stock LS1 exhaust manifolds). The trans is a early Non-ls1 4L60E.

Now the thing is

Which valve springs should I run?
Can the heads be milled without flycutting?
what rpm should this thing be shifted at?
Which intake should I use? truck or LS1
what size stall should we get for this?
Rod bolts?
can the trans take 7000rpm?

can't wait to get this back together.

The only thing I'm gonna say is, what's the point? Everything on your truck is gonna be maxed out anyways. There is a law of diminishing returns with cams. Eventually the heads/intake will only flow to a certain number. Also that cam will be a bitch to tune in a 5.3L

I'd get the ls6 intake and do that swap. The ls1 is worse than the truck intake.
For the stall, i'd go with at least a 3600

I seriously hope this won't be daily driven. Sorry man, but I'm not a big fan at all of your cam choice.

Its not a daily driver, and its not for my truck. Its for a 3rd gen camaro. I was looking for something like a 224/228, or 228/232.
I know its overkill, but its a light car so the loss of lowend torque is not an issue.
Tuning will be interesting, but I take it as a good way to improve my tuning skills.

I personally would want to run dual springs, PP gold would do just find for that cam.

need ATLEAST 3400 converter, that only if you go with 4.10 gear. any less gear the more converter I would add. Sorry the 60e ISNT going to hold it for very long at all. I see no reason why that motor wont be making 350rwhp and 7000rpms BOOM. YOU will want long tubes for that cam and not stock manifolds.

I would run a fast 90 or victor on that. But if your stickin with the truck vs ls6 i would go ls6.

Yes rod bolts for that amount of rpms.
