Yes mill the heads would help with low end. Some 3.73 or 4.10 in that light of a truck would also be good. And allow more cam.

Im thinkin Magic stick 3. BUT YOU NEED Long tube headers.

I would do something like a 224/228 115, .570" with 918s .600" with dual springs. I personally would under-cam a truck for drivability, but for big power you need a big cam.

It's not a DD, I want the most bang for the buck with stock 317 heads and ls6 intake. I had a 224/228 114 lsa in a ls1 s10 previous to this one (it ran 7.84 in the 1/8). I was thinking of a 228/232 112 lsa since the 6.0 has a few more cubes. I would'nt want to go over .600 lift. I Wonder if it would out perform the ls1. This one will have the same 3200 stall. I have heard that the 6.0 is very de-tuned.That there is 60+ hp to be gained from just a tune. If thats true, then there should be problem out performing the ls1 I had. I worder what the rwhp would be ? close to 400?

Why not go over .600 lift? I say run a good dual spring, PRC or Patroit Extreme. Then go with MS3 or something in the low 230's with XFI or LSK lobes.
