while you are thinking heads and cam from the z06, then just throw in the ls6 shortblock and call it 400hp and a day.

Do the heads come assembled? If you use the Z06 cam, you need slightly longer valves... The Z06 cam has a smaller base circle than almost all other Gen III cams do... Or so I've been lead to believe

Yes, I have a used 03 LS6 cam I bought off ebay about a year ago and I can vouch for the base circle being smaller. I didn't even have to measure to tell, it's very onvious when looking at it.
