So I have found the time and space for my swap. Only problem is it's 150 miles away... And I won't be able to have a tune for it on the way back. What do you think? Should I do it over the weekend or have a shop do it? I used to work at the performance shop I'm bringing it to so I trust them AND I will have a tune right away it's just I wouldn't mind doing it on my own.

It's going to need a tune before you even start it up after the cam swap.

The DoD feature needs to be turned off for sure.

I do have my diablo intune tuner so I can shut it off with that. But I wouldn't even be able to start it? Dod doesn't come on until a certain time.

With the diable you may be able to get a tune, to get you to the in person tune

Damn, oh well I will just have them do it.. Their tuner is in Watertown SD which is 350 miles away so the ecm has to be sent out. He usually gets it back within a day though. Maybe I will do the headers myself so I can say I took part in it lol

It sucks I have to wait til the 25th now

Ifbthey have to send the pcm out anyway, take the pcm and have them get a base tune on it, as i said you may be able to get a base tune with the diablo to get you where you need to go.... Be ahell of a lot less expensive then paying someone else to do it!!

So basically what your saying is send my ecm now and have him do the bare minimum to get it to run decent with a cam. Drive my stock pickup with that tune to where im doing this, swap cams, etc.. Then do a more fine tune after I have driven back to Bismarck? Just making sure I understand you!
