Well bad news...it's not e85 compatible. Which really sucks!! But that thing will fly!! Also it runs to 110mph, not sure why it didn't shut off at 100 like my uncles 5.3. My brother has the video and will post when we get home. But I used my pocket dyno app that I used on my truck, which is dead on comparing to what I did I the 1/8. It showed that truck ran a 8.94@82 mph and 13.71@104 in the 1/4. Also lance recorded the gas mileage on flat ground running 80 with the 3.42's. It stayed at 22.5-23mpg which was very impressive. Sticker gas mileage on it was 15city and 21hwy. So really pleased with the new DI 6.2!!! It's really peppy down low in first and second gear. I give it an A++! Ha

 

And I'm also about 99% sure the exhaust is still the 3.5 like on my 6.2. I can't remember how mine is because I haven't looked at it lately but the new one has a y-pipe that's mashed down like the old f-body y pipes. Again, mine may be like that but I didn't think it was. I'll check later and see...but a big let down on the e85 no go! Only complaint..!!
The truck btw was an all terrain double cab with 3.42's....and 20in wheels..

 

Sounds promising....now they just need to make this engine an option on the LT and not just the LTZ/High Country

 

This was In an all terrain gmc... He had a standard one yesterday that came In that was ordered and picked up. Just an SLT with 6.2. No special package..

Damn. A strictly-stock, new-out-of-the-box, not-broke-in, heavy-*** 4X4 going 13.7. I'd be willing to give up the E85 for that kind of stock performance, especially with that kind of fuel consumption.

I'm impressed, even if your app isn't absolutely perfect.

Interesting point about the mileage. Does AL still have 100% gas blend? All we have here E-10.

 

I'm pretty sure we have e-10 as well....I tried to upload the videosast night but my phone is messed up...I'll try to get lance to do it today...
