You and me both. Would have changed what I bought. I'm liking the 5.3 ok, but would have prefered to like the 6.2 instead.

Now that's impressive....ecoboost (rated) fuel mileage and the most power in a 1/2 ton truck. Now I think that I "need" one.

Did you feel the need for any lower gearing (3.73s) on the truck you drove? I personally have not been impressed with the 3.42 gears in my 2011 6.2 truck as there are some relatively dead spots (speeds) where the truck doesn't seem to pull like I feel it should. For a large(r) displacement engine the old 6.2 is pretty peaky.

Thanks for the review!!!!!

Well from an 80 punch it didn't feel that strong because it was in a dead spot for the gears, as to where my 3.73's are in the good spot at that mph. We talked about it last night and since we haul stuff a lot we will probably get 3.73's, but I think they will fly through first gear because the 3.42's go through first pretty fast!! But tuned I would be really anxious to see what both will do tuned...besides fly! Ha

Why do you think no e85 is such a bummer?

It don't really bother me since I'm not gonna make it a race truck, but I'm sure you could get a good bit of power if it was e85. I don't really care because it's gonna fly tuned and satisfy me! Ha but I do t really understand why GM didn't make it e85? Makes me wonder....

Cost. I have an E85 pump around the corner from me. With my current truck, it's worth about .02-.03 cents per mile versus regular e10. Against premium it would be much greater.

Performance is a bonus.

Yeah we don't have an e85 pump within 100 miles of us so we don't run it. Lance is gonna have to get it in a 55gal drum or something for his 5.3 turbo car.
