Hello, My Name is Andrew. Been on here a while, and figured i might as well post my thread about my truck and build since there isn't a TON of information on these DI Motors. I have a CCSB 2wd 5.3L
Current mods:
Long tube headers
Custom Y-pipe & cutback with Corsa sport muffler
AFE Stage 2 Momentum Intake
MSD Plug Wires
Elite E2 catch can
Brian Tooley 180F thermostat
Tuned By Ryne @Cunningham Motorsports Flex fuel 91oct & E85
Truck made 334/370 (91 oct) at the tires on a Mustang Dyno.
Truck picked up 22HP & 26TRQ with E85 on same Mustang Dyno!
Ill try and keep this update as much as i can. But I don't always have a ton of free time. But hopefully everyone will get some use or info out of this thread! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask.
Thanks
Andrew

Great looking truck! I didn't know CMS was tuning the DI trucks yet, that's good to know. A tune is is next on my list, so I'll definitely keep them in mind.

Thank you!
I was the first DI truck he had tuned back when i was just intake, cat-back exhaust, But the trucks are very similar to the DI corvettes, so it wasn't totally new to Ryne. He has done a ton of DI cars now, and has really fine tuned the E85 tunes in the DI. There new shop LT1 Camaro with just a flex fuel sensor and tune picked up 33hp/36trq from just e85, otherwise the car is bone stock. So we are hoping to see some good gains from doing a e85 tune in the truck.
Results are in, Truck picked up 22HP and 26TRQ at the tires on the same Mustang Dyno with just E85.
180 thermostat didn't show any gains power wise, but truck is more consistent power wise after back to back runs, its helping keep the temps in check. As soon as these DI motors get warm they start pulling timing like crazy. Thermostat seems to have helped with that.
