Default impressive payload capacity

GM finally decided to add some girth to the 1500's. On several occasions i've exceeded 2000lbs in the bed of the truck, and it barely squatted past level. This pic is with about 1500lbs of cement.

What's your payload number on the door sticker? My 09 Crew has a payload of 1575. Pretty decent. The weak link on the 14 Gm's is the 3.08 and 3.23 rear gear. You can get a F150 with 3.55 gears.

3.42 and 3.73 are optional also. Mine has 3.42's as do many.

That's odd, when I looked at the build site for the Silverado, they only had 3.08 and 3.23 listed. Maybe you need the Z71 package.

Yeah, I had a couple loads of wet sand in my truck this summer...about 3 days after I bought it. The guy loading me said it was about a ton and a half per yard, as it was pretty wet

The truck wasn't even leveled out.
I thought he just overestimated the weight.

For the record, I have a 2wd RCSB with 3.42 and a 5.3

Mine has 3.08's, which i thought was weird for a texas edition, but the gen5 pulls fine with them.
