Next I would like to see all members with 014+ trucks that are boosted chime in and talk here about there trucks and give specifics of what they have done how they run and what more to come. Then add links to builds or vids or what ever they have learned to help others.

So many DI trucks here boosted and ones that will be getting boosted,idea here is to compress it all on one thread


016 crew 4x4 max tow 6.2 whipple 2.9 4.0 pulley custom EFI Live tune MBRP muffler sliced in flapper removed.

For now truck runs good as daily driver WOT does great light throttle does great,at 1/2 throttle and 3/4 throttle the TQ managment or lack of A8 tuning the throttle snaps open and closed quickly when it shouldnt.

Tuner says I need HP tuning to have all the perameters to correct this

Future plans: Not yet sure how to deal with this but goals are always a perfect or near perfect tune,then a set of headers and pulley down then a cam,maybe a LT4 maybe a custom,then what ever it takes for fueling Goals:600HP sounds good 11.9 ET sounds good,all the while its a DD and tow daily too.

It's been a few years since my last post. But I am happy to announce I am patiently waiting on a 2017 sierra 6.2 Non tow package. My truck won't be here for a few more weeks but I am currently shopping for a whipple 2.9

Quick question, how does the whipple canned tune work? I am planning on trying that route before a custom tune, I need a good DD relatively docile haha

I have a 2015 6.2 8L90 max tow truck with an eforce with efi tuning. Quite frankly the tuning flat out sucks. Throttle is all over the place and the truck will downshift vs let me go into boost. Under heavy throttle when the trans shifts the throttle blade goes all over the place and the truck surges. This weekend I'm dropping the truck off to Don @ Slowhawk with a smaller 3.25 pulley in hopes he can sort it all out. When the truck does act right though, holy crap she ***** and gets though.

 

Just got done installing the Whipple Monday evening. The ECM Whipple tune isn't horrible lot left on table and the TCM tune sucks ***; if they even did anything.

Hopefully tuner gets it all sorted in a few days.

Today I ran my magnacharged buddy.Ask yourself how would a 014 denali 6.2 1900tvs magnuson tuned otherwise bone stock ,How would it match up vs a 016 6.2 whipple stock pulley but custom tuned?

I got a 2015 Silverado ltz 4x4 crew cab short bed. Airaid intake, whipple 2.9l with 3.75" pulley, kooks 1 3/4" long tube headers. Catless y pipe. Magnaflow cat back 3.5 to 4". 100% meth injection via alky control kit.

Videos were shot with the 4" pulley and no meth.

Its good to see these boosted trucks with 8 speeds and 6.2s! I have been really curious as to how this combo will handle boost because I want a whipple 2.9l so bad! I've been following this post.

Gonzo, my buddy truckshop sent me the link to the TVS for sale, but I'm guessing the PM didn't go through because it isn't in my sent folder. It was a damn good deal you had!
