I've always hated TBW no feel and always feels sluggish to me... that said, this new truck is the worst I've ever felt. Do you guys have the same experience? What do you guys change in the tune to remedy this? I know you can go into the driver demand Map A for it, however, there is the good ole "don't mess with this table, it might f your **** up" warning there...
what do you guys do?

So. YES
MY 04 is DBW and is very touchy but the 14' has horrible throttle response for the first 3/4" pedal movement or so. However mine is stock and staying that way until warranty is up, once it is then I'll tune away.

It's all in the shitty factory tune. The new engines have so much more torque, they had to compensate to keep from eating up warranty claims for transmissions i guess. I'm tuning mine as soon as the warranty is up.

I had a friend complain to the dealer about his truck, New Canyon, and they adjusted it a bit. He said its not nearly good enough...but its much better then it was.
Worth a try I guess. I just haven't had a chance to bring my truck in to try it out. I know its fine if you roll on the gas...fine if your moving....but hammer it to pass, or hard acceleration from a dead stop its like the truck is saying "you want me to do what?...fine...give me a sec....There".
Personally, I think its dangerous. Your used to hitting the gas and leaving an intersection knowing you can make it when oncoming traffic is at distance X, then you get into a new vehicle and find out it takes extra time to leave, but that grille of the Mack truck is inching closer as your vehicle is doing nothing... its a little scary.

My '14 ccsb sucked in stock form. Chuck did cai and tune and it was wayyyyyyyy better. He's definitely done many of these trucks and has it figured out.
My new '15 ccsb 4wd has a much lighter pedal feel (almost like more stall feel) and better throttle response. The '14 pedal feel was stiff.

Im almost positive its from Tip in Torque management in the tune.
Out of curiosity i turned off ALL torque management in the engine and trans tune and its like night and day as far as how power is brought in. Ill turn on torque management because i get some transmission flare on closed throttle upshifts. But initial throttle response is much better with tip in torque management turned off
