Default Warranty?

So my GM dealer will not warranty my broken driveshaft and pinion gear. It broke when I was trying to rock the truck out of the snow. Personally I think the u-joint should of went first. Do you feel I should get warranty or not? Just looking for opinions.

Write to Obama. He is in charge of GM's warranties now. Maybe he will give you a seat on the board of directors.

Seriously, if your within the mileage BY LAW they have to replace it. You werent racing it (if you were they couldnt prove it) and Im assuming your driveshaft is not modified.

You might want to try another dealer. I dont know this for sure, but my understanding is that if it is a warranty repair, then the shop just gets to bill GM. Not all dealer service staff are created equal, which can be frustrating, but if you go to another dealer, you get a chance to slightly refine your story to perhaps fit better into what they need to hear.

just my 2 cents worth, hope it helps
