Warranty?

Not hijacking but let me tell you my story. 7500 miles on my truck and here's what happened. It was BONE stock, I run it up to the cutoff and let off.I coast it back to 70 when I then hit the cruise button. Almost instantaneously I heard an awful racket, felt the vibration and out came the driveshaft. It twisted in half dead in the middle, tore up all the exhaust,1 shock, and busted the gas tank. I towed it to the local dealer where they proceeded to tell me since the tranny or the rearend wasn't locked up that I must have ran over something. Funny how nothing in front of the truck got damaged. Sorry no warranty. I call GM where they supposedly did a case file, investigated, and proceeded to back up the dealership. I then called the dealership where I bought it 200 miles away and they said they couldn't override what the other dealership said. BS!!!!! . Second it cost me $350 to pick up my truck for the tow bill and their "BS " diagnosis of what tore up my truck. The mechanic that worked on it lives in town and I caught him in town alone and asked him WTF??? He basicly said they didn't want to fix it because I didn't buy it from them. But PROPS to State Farm insurance, they paid the tow bill and to fix everything except the driveshaft itself. Apparently they won't pay for the driveshaft but for everything it tore up. Pretty sweet and my premium didn't go up. So long story short-call your insurance agency and F**k GM!!!!!!!!!!
That's my 2 cents.....

Ya trucks not modded highly as you can see in my sig. Trucks only got 17000 miles on it well within warranty. Ya my driveshaft was in a 90 after and it banged up my muffler as well. The thing is I used to work there bought my truck their my mom and dad both bought their trucks there so you figure they would put in a little extra effort.
And another thing that has been picking at my brain is shouldn't the u-joint or yoke have gone way before the pinion gear would shear off?

I work at a GM dealership, call GM and tell them where you took it, what they said, and what happened. They should be able to get that fixed no problem. If your vehicle was modified they have to prove that was the cause of it. If they can't they still need to fix it. I just put a timing chain, valves, and pistons in a LS2 trailblazer SS that broke the chain. All the valves were bent and GM gave them warranty on it. The regional service manager authorized the claim since it had some mods done on it but said those would not of caused the chain to break.
