funny... i remember reading (on here or maybe another forum) ~15yrs ago where a couple guys did & documented the couple rub spots they had to trim. thinking it was 285/75-17s or something of the like... because that's what made me comfortable buying 285/75-16s and not doing a thing to my truck except for a little torsion crank.

285/75-16s absolutely rubbed on my Tahoe. Even even I used "lift" keys and had 0" of droop travel. Rode like ***, still rubbed- esp full lock in reverse

But pavement princesses are definitely treated different than my Tahoe is, and I know for a fact I drive that truck off-road more than anyone here does, so your results may vary

If you're willing to cut, you can fit anything. 52s at stock ride height is just a grinder away from working lol

Ideally you want to cruise close to where your engine is operating close to the top end of the powerband. That will enable to give your truck throttle and it will accelerate without downshifting or bogging down (engine lugging, which considered a bad thing for durability.)

2200-2500 rpm cruising I find is pretty good on these engines (I have a 5.3 and 6.0)

thought along the torque plateau was the operating range, I don’t want my engine at max hp peak for anything but WOFun

Sorry, probably didn't phrase that correctly...I edited with the strike through option. 👍
