Default tire size on gmc with 6-7 in lift

hey im gettin ready to put a 6 or 7 in lift on my 06 gmc sierra and i was wondering whats the biggest tire size i could fit i was want to put some 37x12.5 or bigger any suggestions

no way your gonna fit 37's on a 6-7" lift. depending on the wheel offset and true lift height you might have issues with 35's even. look at what your lift company recommends for tire sizes.

35s max bro... your going to have togo go a 6" + 3" body lift is you want 37s..
I don't recommend anything bigger than a 35 on 1/2 tons. the transmissions and rear diffs are really weak. not to mention your going to have to beef up your tie rods, idler, and pitman...

I have a 6 inch lift running 32 inch tires, and i had to trim a little on the front

I've seen 37s with a 3" body lift and I've seen 33s on a 10" lift.. Its all about the wheels and they style you want.. Personly stuffing the biggest tires you can on the truck looks like crap

With a 1/2 ton...? 35's. or get an 8+ IMO. I've seen a few guys do a 6" with 37's on their 2500's, but they all have aftermarket bumpers or a good amount of trimming up front.
